How to verify Mounjaro authenticity

Inside is a KwikPen whose label states the name and dose, with a clear, colourless solution in the window. A genuine pack never has handwriting, an overprinted date or a sticker covering factory labelling. DOZA works only with this version, so the carton looks the same in every order.

Eli Lilly makes tirzepatide only as a subcutaneous injection: Mounjaro in a KwikPen (and Zepbound in the United States). Tablets, sprays, sublingual drops, “bulk solution” in unbranded vials and repackaged syringes cannot be genuine — those forms were never studied in clinical trials and have not been assessed by regulators. Lilly has issued separate warnings about compounded and knock-off tirzepatide. If anything other than a factory pen in a factory carton is offered, it is not Mounjaro.

Do not use the product and do not throw the packaging away. Photograph the carton from every side, the DataMatrix, the printed serial, the pen label and the contents of the thermobox. Report it to the manufacturer: Eli Lilly accepts reports of suspicious product — through Eli Lilly and Company Limited for the UK version, through the Lilly Answers Center for US packs.
